Prada\’s flash color in Milan fashion week

The dramatically change from the label focused on an ultra-feminine Mad Men look in the last season  to bold colors and stripes replaced full skirts and beehives showed in Sep-23’s. Prada was asked about her tendency to change her version so sharply every six months, this designer answered after the show backstage that she followed her different obsessions each season. She said, “I wanted to do something between minimal and Baroque. Something fun, bold and brave.”The show started with simple architectural dresses and skirts suits. Orange dresses were accessorised with dipped-dyed fur stoles in green and blue stripes. Next came skirt suits in snooker-table green worn with wedge heels that had a triple striped sole. At the waist of the suits, mannish shapes were pulled in to make them more feminine, big bold stripes were added to the mix. I just love so much this opening, colorful, bright spots ideas, amazing design. Prada’s show just pointed out that color blocking is already on course to be a headline trend next summer. The collection also referenced South America ad we saw calypso prints, bananas and monkeys all featured on dresses, tango-style raffia heels and oversized Mexican tequila hats. The Baroque influence could be seen in the curlicue ornate frames of the sunglasses. Brothel creepers with a triple layered striped sole looked uncompromisingly ugly but will prove influential. Prada has carved her reputation on making the seemingly incongruent work, and built a highly successful luxury brand on making the slightly wrong look right. Prada was wearing a pair of garishly cool banana earrings during the show, saying “I wanted to put them in the show, but my assistant thought they were not beautiful enough.” Source: Free Articles from
